Hi all, Its been asked a few times, so I thought I'd start a guide/thread; How to post pictures to the forum, Firstly here is a link to the official proboards guide... www.proboards.com/user-guide/posting/inserting-imagesThe link is a little long winded, I got board reading it. I upload images 2 ways, depending where my image is. Basically, if I have an image on my PC, I upload it to a host and tinypic is my preferred choice.. tinypic.comOnce uploaded it gives you a set of links, you just copy the link for forum use and paste it into your post. If I have the image on my android phone, I use the Tapatalk pro app, it has a built in hosting service that seemlessly allows me to upload to the forum directly from my phone. Another option is to turn the megapixels right down on your camera and upload directly to the forum. The quality will suffer though, proboards charge a monthly fee to allow decent sized file hosting so unless someone wants to sponsor us a 3rd party host is probably the best solution. Please share your preferred methods for photo hosting below

I have tended to attach the pictures direct to the post so that they are permanently part of the forum. Hopefully this also drives traffic towards the forum rather than elsewhere. I have found that even with the size restrictions the resolution is still good enough.
Image hosting sites are OK until they decide delete images which haven't been accessed recently or cease to exist altogether. Then you are left with forum posts with broken images.

Good point ittroll, it is probably best to resize the pictures then. I hate it when I see the broken image symbol whilst browsing a forum, it doesn't seem to happen much here, I guess the forum is too young to have that problem yet. Gdrive or Dropbox external hosts might be a more reliable options than the free ones, assuming the fees are paid :/
