Ok so it started with receiving a random "this dvd can not play, or is used by another program" error with Media Center, when playing a DVD from the VGP-XL1b dvd changer.
So I would eject the disc, check it and then place it back into the slot. I would then wait for the Media Center/VGP-XL1b to check the disc, after that was complete I would look for the DVD and it is no longer on my list. So far I'm missing two Harry Potter movies year 4 and 5 and considering I just noticed this error, I might be missing other titles.
Still have no way of getting to ejecting the movies either as there is no way to search unless I eject all 174 movies I currently have inserted into the DVD changer.
Anyone get this error?

I have had a few disks not show on the list due to not ejecting correctly, and if they failed to get fed into the drive correctly the disk would show as error on the list usually followed by a failed eject and a missing disk. The best way to get your missing discs out without ejecting them all would be to remove the lid and carefully shuffle through and remove them by hand. I have had to do this a few times when my changers would become misaligned after the belt slipped. With large capacity HDDs being as cheap as they are these changers have almost become more hassle than they're worth.
