Hello guys,
After many small problems with my old Windows 7 / Emby system, I have choose to jump to another solution. I decided to try Windows 10 and test Kodi. I'm very happy with Kodi and I choose the Titan interface because it looks beautifull and this interface is very customisable.
The only problem untill now is that I can't setup a surround speaker system. In the audio menu I have only stereo speaker available. Previously, on my Windows 7 32 bits, I have a 5.1 and 7.1 available option.
The sound come from my HDMI exit from my Radeon HD 6450 and go to my sony amplifier. I have try to install Windows 7 driver 64 bits, even old one, nothing. Always stereo option available! :-( I have check on Google and I haven't nothing really usefull.
Is the multichannel that go on the HDMI exit from my Radeon come from the onboard audio or the Radeon use is own audio setup ? I said that because the onboard audio is detected with the stock driver of Windows 10. I know that Sigmatel had no driver for 64 bits Windows and I don't know if is that the problem.
If someone can help, I will really appreciate it !
glad
EDIT: the problem was the passtrough option activated on my amplifier. When I deactivate the passtrough option, the 5.1 option on Windows was available again.

I have the same problem in W10: - audio is recognized for the HDMI output from the Grafix card (in my case R7 200) ; this delivers the sound to TV or monitor. - how to install the original sigmatel driver for W7/W10 driver 64 bits? (so i can use the optical or SPDIF output)
i also could need some help

Hello,
I forgot to say that my problem was solve. In fact, the problem doesn't came from my VAIO system but from my amplifier (Sony STR-DA 5500ES). For an unknow reason, a parameters change in the config menu from my amplifier and Windows can see that there are 5.1 speakers available. Windows see only the 2 spekers from my TV, so it can't give the 5.1 option.
I think the problem came from the passtrough option from my amplifier but I'm note sure anymore. I hope it will help you!

There is no 64-bit driver for the Sigmatel. So either you have to install a 32-bit O/S or install some other sound card.
