I realise I am in the minority as I have resisted joining the stampede to run Windows 10 on my VGX, and for the time-being at least will remain quite happily as is. The end of support date for W7 is not for 4 years yet so what's the rush...
One thing I would like to ask is what software setup would be recommended for those die-hards staying with WMC? Software such as Arcsoft TMT is end of line but add-ons such as MyMovies, AnyDVD HD and MyChannelLogos XL remain...
So what does everyone use on a frequent basis?

Well I am sticking with WMC (on Windows 8) although ironically I have switched hardware and I am no longer running on a VGX.
I really like Recorded TV HD which is similar to MyMovies except that it seamlessly blends movies and other downloads with Recorded TV. It hasn't seen any development for a couple of years but actually still works well.
I have a custom theme for WMC based on the Modern8 theme which is applied using Patchou's Media Center Themer. This amazing utility can reskin every part of Media Center and is highly customisable, but does so without modifying any system files. Beware though, theming is highly addictive! With Media Center Themer + My Channel Logos XL + Recorded TV HD, you can really freshen up the rather tired UI and make WMC more than match for these young upstarts.

After 8 years I'd had enough of blue.
