Hi
Finally got around to rebuilding my machine this weekend and chucked both Windows 7 and Windows 10 64 bit on to it.
Its got 4Gb RAM installed but reports only 2.75Gb usable - any ideas ??
Thanks
Gaz

Windows 32bit is only capable of using around 2.75.
With Windows 64bit you can use the whole 4gb but 64bit comes with other issues, mainly software related including nonejecting eject button.
Are you certain you tested the memory in a 64bit Windows environment? If you are then I have no idea

Well the BIOS is reporting 4Gb so it is seeing it, it just cant use it !
I am rolling back to 32bit as I have the drivers available.
Next question, can I boot this thing up using a USB stick ?

Boost with USB stick? I don't know much about that, I think it is possible but it would probably be best to use your excess ram... www.megaleecher.net/RAMDiskI believe boosting has Pros and cons, but I've never done it myself perhaps someone else could offer some advice? I understand that if you use a SSD as your master drive, then no boost can be gained. If your master drive is a HDD as your system stats suggest then it should offer some boost. That's about all my knowledge, good luck and let us now how you get on
