Does anyone have Windows Vista or any other version drivers for the MTR700? I have Charter Cable (Now calling itself Spectrum after combining with Warner Cable). They use a scrambling on the cable that needs to be decoded by they MTR700 and info fed to the Cable-card Tuner in your PC before the tuner will work. Without the driver Media Center says No Tuner Found. More info on this device at the following link anthonyjdev.blogspot.com/2013/08/installing-cox-cablecard-mtr700-tuning.htmlI have VGX-XL3 Windows Vista with upgraded Mr. BIG BIOS, Upgraded to Quad CPU & 4GB memory. Any help greatfully appreciated. So far..... Arris claims they don't support it,(even thought they bought out Motorola's cable devices and slapped their Arris sticker on the MTR700). Motorola gave me the run around from one support center to another even though the case has Motorola molded into it and said they don't support it that, I should call such & such support who says to call etc. ending up in loop after loop back to Arris & Motorola! They also referred me to a specific number at Cox Cable for technical support for the MTR700 who had no drivers either. The Charter cable company is no help they said the kit doesn't come with a driver disk, even though the USB cable has a label which says install CD before connecting the MTR700. They try to tell me to call TIVO! I said I don't have a TIVO device, it is a PC!

I ran a across this old post looking for some other details about the Tuning Adapter... Windows Media Center supports devices that tune via cable card and DRM (if the cable signal is set to "copy once"). Other software should support unprotected content, generally Fiber from what I read but not the big companies like COX and Spectrum. The external devices such as Ceton Infinitv6 Eth and Silicondust Homerun Prime have Usb connectors that the Tuning Adapter should be connected to. The Ceton has a MINI-USB interface which is uncommon and the cable is not included. Internal devices (Like the one I have, Ceton Infinitv6 Pcie) may require connecting directly to your PC. In my case, I had to run the advanced setup of the infinitv software to add the Tuning adapter driver. It has been several weeks but I think it said something about "SDV Support". SDV is switched digital video, the thing the Tuning adapter is suppoting. My very basic understanding is that the cable company does not send all the channels but instead switches which ones are being sent. The tuning adapter supports telling the cable central office which channels to send and providing the channel map back so your tuner can find them.
Ceton is barely around, some of their devices still are. If buying new consider Silicondust (fewer 3 tuners to Ceton's 6) but always favor external as getting reliable connection out of Windows 7 and usb is a real pain to the TA (Ceton has recommend windows hotfixes which may not install...).
