Just got a Sony XL100 Vaio desktop. Having a few problems. No sound by hdmi to connected TV. Not picking up my wireless network, but finding a neighbours network. Windows xp is a headwreck, can I update it to Windows 10, and what problems would I face? What memory do I need to upgrade it to full capacity
Thanks Guys

From memory (not had a VGX-XL for about 4 years): You should be able to update to Windows 10 without any major issues. The issues you will have will be the same issue as upgrading to Win7/8. See this thread... vgx-xl.proboards.com/thread/25/windows-conflict-fixes-freeze-buttonThe sound could be a graphics card issue. The original graphics card needed an audio cable attached, if this came undone it could be the issue. New modern graphics card don't need the cable. Browse the forum for graphic card options. If your on a 32bit os, which if original you are, then your limited to 4gb with about 3.7gb being recognised. If you upgrade to 64bit, I can't remember how much memory you can have. When I upgraded my hardware I found the best upgrades to be: Graphic card SSD drive Memory Bios then CPU All in that order.
