Hi, We are looking for recovery disks to add to our downloads section. We currently have Disks for the VGX-XL100, VGX-XL2, VGX-XL201, VGX-XL301 & VGX-XL302. Maybe you can help us with finding the the other 4 pairs of disks VGX-XL1, VGX-XL202, VGX-XL3? Anyone who can help, please upload the Disks to a online storage site, like Dropbox, Google Drive or similar and provide me, Oliver with the links, once verified I will add the recovery disks to the list. The main reason to do this is to help your fellow VGX-XL enthusiasts, but I will promote any member providing such material with V.I.P status and credit will be given.

I have the XL201 ones in long term storage. If you still need them when I break my stuff out in 3-6 months, I'll get them uploaded.

Thanks IT Troll, if I don't get a copy before that will be very useful.

Actually thinking about it, the recovery discs for the XL201 will be Windows XP.
You would have to be a bit of a masochist to go that route nowadays...

Yeah, I suppose lol. Some people want to return their system to its original settings, which I can understand, but most, if not all of our members use Win7, Win8 or Linux and would never return back to XP. I believe Win7 is the most popular choice, amongst us. So the recovery disks are not really essential anymore, but still a nice resource to have.

I have an xl302 bought from a car boot sale recently, and it let me make recovery DVD's (windows vista) I could make iso files and upload them if they are still needed. I haven't had need to test them yet though.

That's a generous offer pob13, but we already have the XL302 recovery discs.
Cheers for the offer though

Regards Anthony Have created the 2 iso files and uploading them to One Drive now seems like it will take an hour or so to sync. Am reading up now on how to "share" a link etc so people can access the shared folder any pointers would be much appreciated :-)

Hi Anthony,
Its can can quite a task creating the iso's and uploading. I remember it taking me hours to upload recovery discs to my google drive account. So a big thank you on behalf of the community. You don't have access to the members section yet, but we have loads of software and even official service manuals all provided kindly by our members, it great to see such community spirit between our members.
I've not used One Drive, but with Google Drive you have a share option and need to select, anyone with link, then it gives you the link (as far as I can remember). I guess One Drive will have something similar?
Once you share the link I'll download the isos and upload them to my gdrive as another 'mirror'. When I'm at my desktop PC, I'll sort you out with VIP status.
Thanks again,

Hi Oliver
The iso files have synced and I have sent you a pvt message with the link.
Not had a lot of experience with One Drive but I have made it so you can "edit" the files which I am guessing is the permission you will need to copy them. Please let me know if it works ok will check back regularly :-)
Regards Anthony
